xmlize() is a function written in PHP to traverse an xml file and put it's contents into a PHP array. It works best with small xml files, as big ones (larger than 1 megabyte) will result in a large array, too. There is a function called traverse_xmlize() that helps describe the structure of the array that xmlize() outputs

Nice and short. Very easy to understand. Well explained. I was able to use it within 5 minutes of downloading it. Great work, Hans!
Review title:
a replacement for XML::Simple in perl

This library is amazingly simple to use - i rate it on par with the XML::Simple library in perl. I have just saved this file into a resources folder, and i simply include it and call xmlize() whenever i need to use it. Not only that but the data structure is simple to navigate too.
I thoroughly recommend this script. 10/10

Based from the user revies I thought this is easy to use. There is no good documentation on how to use this.

On his sample code:
$xml = xmlize($data); # where $data is the xml in the above section.

He didn't clarify on where shall i input the filename of the xml like mysample.xml.
