Viewing: Site crawler, indexer and search engine

This ASP.Net system crawls and indexes a web site placing the indexed words into a database. A user control is them used to search the database displaying the results as a list of urls with title and extract in a similar format to popular search engines.

The system runs on a .Net enabled server using any kind of database providing a connection string can be created.

The search system is quite fast and flexible with a number of set up parameters accessible via a set of password protected displays.

The system is able to handle both static or dynamically generated pages which may be of the form default.asp?ref=value
